Manitoba | Quite a few Hutterite colonies in Manitoba. Religously have the same anababtist roots(hundreds of yrs ago) as the Amish and Mennonites(my background). To me its kind of ironic that 30 or so yrs ago they drove around in plain Suburbans because they believed cars were too worldly and a luxury. Now they all drive around in the fanciest SUV or pickup. Plus usually very nice farm equipment. They are pretty aggressive when it comes to acquiring land. If you farm near a colony it makes it more difficult for the rest of us. | |
