Subject: case-ih 8820 self-propelled windrower canvas problem

North Dakota
1995 25' Case-Ih 8820 self propelled windrower and the canvas' slip when put in double swath mode. After dissembling last year come to find out the drive rollers for the canvas' don't have any rubber left on them. Have tried to ruffen them up, then tried painting them with special sand /paint compound, then tried using the best 3M slip tread tape I could find but they still slip.

Case-Ih wants $1,100 per roller for new ones. Does anyone have experience with a fix for this problem? The new rollers look to have rubber vulcanized to them. Is there a place where this could be done to the old ones? Is the heston 8100 the same swather and could I get rollers cheaper from them or someone else?

Hate to spend $2,200 plus when the old ones are perfectly fine, the previous owner just wore the rubber compound off of them. Thought about trying to get some type of super strong glue and glueing sheet rubber to them but after previous attempts I would probably be just wasting my time.
