WCIN | Yah question was to general for ya, but have seen atleast 10,000 acres go out of production due to development---that's on the west side of Indy.
Own 95% of what I farm, so I follow your thinking about land---"aint going to make anymore". BTW, should I think about transportation to Mars? They need to eat also. NASA and others are beating a dead horse, but I have met some of them, they can't grow a garden----seen it. I can't build a spaceship, but I know where I live.
Anywho, USDA farm payments(about 5 billion dollars) might get directed to the welfare side of the budget because of the record high grain prices. So, in theory, they buy food that is generated by the farmer. So grain prices should stay up. Quit laughing.
I'm a STO, but produce good grain and get regular calls from the elevator wanting grain, Nah. They won't pay my fuel surcharge, which is government regulated.
That's farming---buy retail and sale wholesale. | |
