We lay our perlins (laterals) flat, not on edge like you have them, and then put osb on. Then put the steel over top the osb. Helps keep the steel from rusting especially in livestock buildings. Our free stall barn was built in 94 and we didn't put osb under the steel. It has pin holes in it in spots.
