Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | When was the term "Cheese" first used before someone takes a picture?
Guess I should ask when smiling became fashionable in photographs?
Some of my relatives have put a family tree together that tracks the Schlegels' back six generations counting my grandson. Goes back to when they arrived in New Orleans from Germany.
There are several old pictures, and I swear that back then someone yelled "OK...Look as Mean as You Can" before the camera flashed. I don't know if it was just the hard life or what, but they are some scary looking folks. |
