Percentage pay works great when you don't run into a long line of trucks waiting to unload on every load. Or the elevator full and waiting on other trucks or rail cars to give them room. Can well remember when no one was paying down time or delay time. If the truck wasn't rolling the driver didn't make a dime. At the same time, trucks put groceries on the table for many years, weather I was driving or pushing. Have finally reached the point that when my CDL comes up for renewal in 2014 it will be converted to an operators license
