| I cut the crisscross hatch with center deeper to hold salt,,,dumped all it would hold and a pile on top. Any rain disolved salt and carried it down. These were elm trees and 3-4 years later they were gone.
i would think an apple tree easy to 'push' over with loader. Especially if you have a high trunk for leverage. If already sawed off you can take a pick axe and dig down, get a big chain thru major root hole, biggest tractor you have, tight and steady...it will come pretty easy.
