Subject: thoughts on taking over family farm

Liberty, IN
I teach about hour from family home and would eventually like to take over family farm. Would like to take over family farm, teach, and hope my wife could find HR job closer to home, shes currently in Indianapolis and its a remote farm in SE indiana to far from there. My dad farms 1,000 acres, half of which is owned by him and my grandmother. Rest is rented, and in this day in age you never know. Machinery is relatively outdated but in good shape. Last few years has allowed for some updating and a better standard of living for my mom and dad. Any tips on the transition?

also, any IU basketball fans? Good times to be a Hoosier.
