I hear ya I planted March 19 came up beautiful but we got a couple of 90 degree weeks with no rain when tillering and it all but died. Heading out now very thin. The wheat I planted a couple of weeks later missed the heat and looks good yet. Ya never know but you would think planting early you would be ahead of the heat. Every Year is different!
