Subject: Pale Green Corn........

Central Kansas
.......in place's on 2 fields of mine. Rest of my fields of Corn are dark Green with wide healthy leaves standing almost waist high. All fields were fertilized the same (5gallon 10-34-0) at planting and then 120 units of N over the top. Until a couple of days ago when I got 70 hundredths on all fields they have just had 18 hundredths since planting.Everything is COC but the 2 fields in question have areas that are the healthy green/wide leaf plants but the affected areas are a pale green , barely knee high. Called the county agent and he said to keep an eye on it and next week, he will come and look but the guessed that the N hadn't gotten down to the root system but I question why some areas look good (normal).

Sorry no pics but what would you think might be the problem. Have never seen this before on these 2 fields. These 2 fields are in the 3rd year of Corn.
