Martinsville, Ohio | It is very common in southern Ohio but very little wheat was planted last fall in our year of record rainfall. Ohio has closer to 500,000 acres of soft red winter wheat than it's normal closer to a million acres.
It's somewhat easy for me to do, just "chase the combine with the drill" and my insurance yields are over 40 bu and I have broken 50 bushels a couple of times.
Now, cover crops for soil building for the next crop has just as much interest if not more.
