East Central Minnesota | Hopefully this is a dumb question... I recently purchased an IH 1086 and was planning on trying it out on the baler but I could not hook up the hydraulic lines. The retainer part of the female coupling on the tractor is bigger than any of our other tractors. (We have pioneer fittings on all of the tractors and equipment.) I figured I would just have to swap the couplings on the tractor out, but I couldn't find the mention of different sizes anywhere, and replacing the parts is spendy. So now I am wondering if I'm just doing something wrong.
The couplings have the lever that is supposed to be turned for hooking up and then turned back for opertating; I haven't seen those before but they seem simple enough. I just can't figure out how the hoses are supposed to stay in place, there seems to be 1/8" gap between the male coupling and the retainer on the tractor.
Can anyone explain what I am seeing / doing wrong?
