Subject: Question for those using a track tractors on a grain cart



Chebanse, IL.....

Do you see more "compaction issues" from the single belt vs the more typical dual-wheeled tire tractors? Seems with the tongue weight from the cart (5-6000#?) there might be more pressure in the area of the rear driver on the track tractor since it may only have 18" width to spread it over vs the typical dualed 18" x 2 of wheel tractors.

Or, does enough of the track area forward of the driver remain on the ground to help support the load? I assume someone would have to take some kind of scientific pressure point readings to know for sure though.
