If you are getting it fixed you can endorse the check to the bodyshop and they will go after the short amount. If you are not getting it fixed you will have an up hill battle getting more. The body repair industry deals with estimates not bids.
If you do not get it fixed and have another loss you will take a big hit on areas that have hail damage visible.
