SW WI | I know what you mean about some older landlords being disconnected. I don't run that big of equipment but some of these guys think we should still farm like it's 1930 with 2 bottem plows and 30 hp tractors. They have no concept of being as time efficient as possible and that we don't have a family of 7 to take care of a 100 acre farm. That 100 acres needs to be planted in a day so I can move on to the next place. It's just me and my wife and she has an off farm job. What kills me is they want you to farm like they did but want 2012 prices for rent or buying. Then some relative that lives in a city telling about the top of the top for rent or selling. Know what? Like I tell my wife if I don't want to put up with it I'm sure there are 5 guys who will. | |
