BERN (WI) — A 3-year-old boy is dead after a farm accident in Marathon County.
Deputies say the boy was killed Friday when he was run over by a skid steer loader driven by his 7-year-old brother.
Sheriff's Lt. Fred Goch says the 7-year-old apparently was giving three siblings a ride in the bucket when the 3-year-old fell out and was run over.
The accident happened in the town of Bern. The victim died at the scene. His name has not been released.
Neighbors say five families work on the farm.
Authorities say the investigation continues but they don't expect charges to be filed.
