If you have a pcmcia card slot the pcmcia serial i/o adapters have worked well for me. But, most new laptops do not have the pcmcia slot now. Most laptops are coming with the new express card slot. There are serial adapters for the express card slot, but I have no experience with them. I will probably try one on this machine at some point.
