Subject: NRCS Compliance Review

SE SD
I received a letter that I have been randomly selected to be checked to determine if the conservation provisions of the Food Security Act of 1985 are being followed. The compliance review will consist of making determinations on Highly Erodible Land and Wetland Conversation provisions as they apply to these tracts of land . The 2 tracts selected have no HEL or Wetlands so why the review? Is this something anybody else has received? Seems like they could look at the maps and see that there is not any HEL or Wetlands not have to do a check. It seems like a waste of taxpayer dollars. What I am thinking is this is just the beginning of spot checks be it fuel containment, chemical storage or whatever else these goverment agencies can think of to justify there existance. Maybe I'm just being crabby, just getting tired of the regulations.
