Texas/New Mexico Stateline | When I was starting out farming my Great Granddad was still around and coming out to the farm to help. I have always appreciated those times. We also have so many things around the farm that were his, some of them homemade. I still use his little tractor, his t-post puller he made, his lathe, his cutting torch sets and bottles he paid a lifetime lease on, we still have his bobtail truck we use for wheat seed, etc. Our clothes washing machine was his and my G. Grandma's. Besides that I still farm the ground he bought back in the 1940s. He certainly left a legacy. |
