on your PDCA screen check that you have the channels set for target and not channel actual pop. the actual is calculated on the rpm that the seed discs are turning and the number of cells in the plate so as your speed reading changes the display will fluctuate as the channel speed adjusts. If you have it set for just target population it should be a constant number. the screen selection of Avg Population is what is actually being counted by the row sensors (we had to reconfigure our screen after some confusion of which line was the actual pop being dropped, hence the Target Actual reading is just a calculated display, not a row sensor reading) The problem of the population being off check the speed cal # like stated earlier and also I think in the the channel setup, make sure the # number of cells in the seed plate is entered correctly.
