East Central Minnesota | Just an update on the Case 2090 that would start and run for 1-2 seconds and die. After spending most of a day working on the fuel supply & thinking it just had to be fuel related. I was given a suggestion on ytmag that it could be a hung-up valve in the powershift. That was the problem, if I put it in the 2nd powershift and try starting without pushing the clutch in the tractor starts and runs fine. But as soon as I push the clutch in and the powershift goes back into 1st the tractor dies. I will open the powershift up this afternoon and have a look.
I would have never thought of that on my own, so I thought maybe this would help someone else out someday.
