MO | comparing a caseih acs 2 bar coil tine with flat bar basket vs a remlinger 3 bar coil tine with flat bar basket.
I would not know the reason to, but was thinking that if I ever wanted to remove basket and just use the coil tines, the
3 bar would be the way to go.
What does the basket do? Does it bust clods? Make the ground leveler? Does it make the ground to fine? (crusting more after
a hard rain) Gumbo vs. sand conditions? Does it push rocks into the ground or throw them up and leave them on top? Does it
break up stalks?
I always thought a coil tine was good at vibrating fine soil down to where the seed was going and leaving the clods and trash on
top. Will the basket affect this?
Would a 4 bar coil tine harrow be just as good and a lot cheaper? | |
