Subject: RE: 7300 planter to jd 4450

Floyd County, Iowa
Power beyond hydraulics, I believe, and the adjustable flow restrictor valve that goes on the vac oil supply line. I use an 8100 fwa on my 7300 12 row and can use the third scv, returning oil to the motor return port (not scv), and can adjust oil flow from cab, so I don't use the flow restrictor.
Also, if youhave lift assist, you'll want to have your lift assist wheels plumbed into the 3 pt hitch. It's a lot easier than trying to remember to raise the back slightly after the front and lower back before the front. It'll lift and lower level when hooked into 3 pt.
This will leave you with 1 scv for fold (not sure how big your 7300 is, assuming 12 row), and 1 scv for markers.
If you have the third scv, I think you still need power beyond to get the proper flow rate without heating problems (I could be wrong on this. If I am, someone will correct me).
Got front weights (again, assuming 12 row)?
Hope this helps.
