| I have a very long and very boring white paper on my Ipad about linkages between the DOW, S&P 500 and commodities over a pretty good period of years. The conclusion of the authors is that the commodity markets have become very closely ingrained with the stock market as a whole, and they basically blame the high volume traders, and etf's and baskets are their preferred playground. I'll see if I can post a link to it, but, it's good insomnia cure.
