Subject: RE: price of a honda foreman

Sounds about right. I bought a 2012 Rancher last fall. Wrote the check for $6500 and change. I didn't buy extended warranty because I figure I shouldn't need it with a Honda. I did order a $200+ grill guard included in that price. Still haven't put it on. Probably don't need it but the front end and especially the headlights look vulnerable without one when educating cows.

6 different Ranchers available in different combinations of foot shift/electric shift/full auto, and with and without PS. Mine is the basic 4x4 foot shifter Rancher. part time 4x4 with simple lever shift. 420 liquid cooled engine. IIRC the top of the line automatic Rancher with IRS is about $1500 more.

Never owned a Honda before. I need to read owners manual. I do not touch the throttle but I was surprised the EFI engine does not start better than it does below 0. Old 2-stroke Polaris always fires right up no matter how cold it gets.
