Oregon | I disagree. While I like to take shots at mother Deere, that header appears to be extremely well engineered and built. Of course, we won't know until one has been abused for a couple of years on bad ground, but the gussets, welds, plumbing, drives and fittings are very very impressive. The "gaps" you mention are a non issue- the crop (and seeds) feed right over the top. Watch one in action and you will see that the gaps are not an issue.
Now, whether it is worth the entry fee, that is another question. Like others have said, the MacDon looks better every year. Especially after reconditioning our Deere drapers each winter... -Mike | |
