West Union, Illinois | We have .... "discussed" this for over 35 years and my wife still gets it wrong (grin). We tend to refer to the noon meal as lunch just for clarity. Around here if you say lunch it is the mid-day meal. Supper is always the evening meal. If you say dinner you have to in some way specify when you are talking about.
Growing up dinner was always at noon and supper was what you called the evening meal. But you just have to make allowances for city folk. | |
