I haven't been there in years, and swore I won't ever go back.
The owner/announcer was rude & obnoxious, and the facilities were shabby, to say the least.
If you want to travel a little farther,

is a top notch operation. Not nearly as fancy as Joliet, but a nice, old school atmosphere.
I try to get to the World Series of Drag Racing in August, and some other events, if time allows.
Nothing better than nitro-burning funny cars under the lights, along the Mississippi River!!
