Depending on the circumstances, I always take food and if it is a large family I will take paper products, plastic utensils, lemonade mix and loaf of bread. My current favorite bereavement dish is "Easy Sausage Lasagna" and depending on the circumstance will be taken unbaked, baked if I think they will not have the time to do so.
