1.The chickens or eggs?
2. The chicken or an egg laid by a chicken?
3. The chicken or an egg containing a chicken?
4. The chicken, or an egg laid by and containing a chicken?
Take your pick
#2, and #4 questions indicate that the chicken would have to come first simply by the structuring of your question.
#3? If we are comparing chickens, and presumably by the nature of your silly excercise chicken eggs, why would we need to know that the egg contains a chicken? What else would it contain?
So back to #1... You seem to have all the answers. Why don't you tell us?
