Kaukauna WI | We get one maybe every 3 or 4 years. It's always from being in a tie-stall where they are able to lay a little to one side or the other (sideways). You are correct, ccjersey, in that time and steroids usually does the trick, plus a bedding pack for a week. We did lose one but she actually broke a bone in the shoulder where it comes to a "v", she broke just a little piece off the end, you could barely feel where it was broke, but she never was able to bear weight on that shoulder and did not get around, even 3 legged. I think that was from jumping into the flat-barn stanchion and hitting that shoulder real good.
