Is this a recent development? I got a rear main seal for an 8.3 from my Case IH dealer a couple years ago.

There was a lash up between Case IH and Cummins to jointly develope engines,(CDC ?), the 8.3 is one of those.
As I understand it, a Case IH dealer can do parts and service on one of those joint CDC engines, but if the machine has an engine developed by Cummins alone, then Cummins demands they are the only one to supply parts or service for that engine. |
