I believe that on our 4830 last year we had similar intermittent issues and it turned out that in big fields that if you left the booms in the working position for extended periods of time the boom cylinders would relax slightly. The cylinders have a sensor to insure they are fully extended and when they relax the sensor turns off height control. The solution recommended to us was to periodically hit the switch and extend the booms. It was very frustrating when first encountered. Hope it's that simple for you. Hank
