Western/Central Oregon | I have a new to me Hesston 8550 with the 8070 15.5' rotary header. My question is, do these have any shear hub protection, or any cutterbed protection for that matter? I looked on AGCO's parts page, but couldn't really tell. Also, I purchased the owner's manual for both the tractor and the header, but there wasn't any mention of any protection measures. I have heard that the earlier NH rotarys didn't have any protection for the cutterbed, I'm hoping that this Hesston isn't the same.. On a good note, I don't have too many rocks to speak of so hopefully this isn't going to be a problem.
Also any tips, the good and the ugly, etc on this machine would be appreciated!
