Some where on the internet is a trouble shooting guide. I saw it once and it had how many amps a magnet was to pull at 12 volts. My OPINION is that magnets get bad with time. I fought poor brakes on my gooseneck for a couple of years and finally had enough and replaced every thing inside the drum. I bought new backing plates with every thing installed as it was cheaper than parts. The brakes have worked as good as electic brakes can for close to ten years now.
