New Mexico | in the really good areas that have grass.
Could be grass cattle demand peaks ( or has just peaked ) early too.
I figure NORMAL grass season demand drops just before or at the 1st of May most years.
Best to buy grass cattle in the SW after May 1st every year anyway.
Cattle always get 10 to 15 cheaper then and better start to the grass here too.
That provides more feed, get bigger gains or run more of em etc..
With a 30 day earlier grass window this year that logically moves the afore back towards April 1st this year.

I perhaps sound cheap but, if we're just at the beginning of a lower feeder trend due to higher feed index and some indications grass demand may have peaked in the past week,
hmmmm, perhaps sit on your hands for 2 more weeks and buy those closer to 165 vs the 185.
( a LOT of GROW and TIME left to 3 wts )
This past week I had several calls from several folks who were trying HARD to get rid of feeders at the higher price levels.
By the end of the week I was kinda quietly thinking, "there must be more supply out there than there is higher market price levels to get em bought."
