Lynn....thinking through what you and a of jag have said, the front chains are staying on fine so I would agree with a of jag that the upper auger is the one moving.  Would you agree with this?  Are your pictures from the lower auger (the discharge auger)?  If so, was the front chain coming off for you?

On ours, the shearbolt sprocket snap ring is there but that doesn't necessarily mean the auger is moving around, correct?
