About 4 months ago I got rid of a 2001 ford 350 with 200K and regular cab, but decent truck for $5500. It did have new tires. It was a 4x4 and auto, 7.3 deisel with no issues
Took a couple months to sell it even at that. The only guy to look at it bought it.
The extended cab and slightly lower miles should make the pickup you talk about worth more, like $8000
