NC | I don't know how anyone can raise sheep sanely without a good dog. I don't chase anymore.
I had a guy come to buy some ewe lambs- so I just penned them up and had the dog hold them in a corner. He went in and reached down and just picked up what he wanted. 15 minutes and they were out grazing again.
I did pretty good- $75 for 25lb lambs. And I thought he was insane because he was picking out everyone that I would never have kept as replacements in the first place. It didn't matter what they looked like as long as they were colored up pretty.
He can come back and sort thru anytime he wants :) | |
