I don't use facebook much but I have to say NAT is a lot easier to post pictures than any other ag site I post on. Facebook also has a lot more staff and server capacity to do all the reduction automatically. I don't think it is fair to compare a privately owned ag talk site to facebook. NAT does a darn good job in many ways as far as I am concerned. The key is getting the pictures resized before posting, as Garvo mentions. Most cameras these days take very large file size pictures. NAT can't possible hold all these at full size and download time would be excessive, especially on the rural connections many NAT folks are on. I use Canon pocket cameras and the software that comes with the Canons has a very quick way of reducing the size of the picture file but without losing much picture quality for posting or email use.
