| It's going to take some work to mount the JD single disk openers, first off the toolbar they mount on needs to be the same height as the main toolbar and at least on the smaller 7000 planters that requires some cutting and welding. We have the JD single disk openers on our 7200 and they do a good job but whoever designed them must have done it as a cruel prank against anybody who would ever have to work on them. I am about 99% sure that our next planter will not have these openers, personally I like the looks of the Dawn 3001 or 3004 openers but I have no personal experience with them. Unless somebody gives you the JD openers for free I think I'd look for a different opener to put on that planter. | |
