Subject: Re: UPS Shipping Rant

Central Kansas
I worked 20 years for UPS as a "preloader"(loaded the package cars for the drivers day delivery)so I was the next to the last person to handle the package before the customer had it in his hands and over the 20 year period, I had 2.5 million packages go through my hands. Saw a few damaged ones but 99.9% were ok. Just remember that any particular package has to be handled by alot of people from start to finish and yes some workers have a bad day, either problems at home or they have just been chewed out by the supervisors for not working fast enough and they take it out on the package, when the "sup" goes on about his merry way. I know from experience that tensions can run high when you are pressured to get the job done in a small given time frame. If a worker could load a package car in "no time at all", the supervisors couldn't be more happy.............................makes them look good to there higher ups!
