I can look it up on google . . . .but for a quick answer (as many more may not know or bother to look up), what is glass bedding do or what is it in general?

As a rough description, it is using metal or fiberglass reinforced epoxy to create a tension free mortice for the rifles action.

A small amount of stock material is carefully removed, release agent is applied to the rifles action and then mated to the epoxy filled stock untill the epoxy cures, which makes for a skin tight fit that is not subject to tension variables induced by humidity and temperature changes, and removes some variables in recoil harmonics.

Making things as consistent as possible between striker fall and the bullet exiting the bore for each shot fired is the key to accuracy, and it's hard to achieve with open celled wooden stocks squished between the action and bottom metal, and everything roughly inletted with contact points all willy nilly and moving around ever so slightly.
