Been keeping track of my petty cash expenses, ie: coffee, restaurant meals, quick snack at convience store, groceries, tools I don't need, and other non necessity items..... WOW. I tell ya, it isn't bad for the week but for the month, items sure do add up. Everyone should do it for a month. Been keeping track since jan 1. Glad I don't smoke and drink, that really add up.
That is a good idea. Better yet budget a fixed amount each month for that. Say $50 and put that cash in your pocket. When it is gone, that is all for that month. That is what me and my wife do. We do the same with "eating out" money, when the eating out money is all gone we stay home. |
Is it just me or does it seem like things have really gone up this year?
