I am not quite sure which model Claas that would be, but if it is about the year 1970 it most certainly is a Claas Senator. My dad had 2 such machines and they worked great. I remember seeing a picture of this model in Farm Journal. I let our Claas dealer see it and it was the first he ever knew about this new model meaning it might have been available in the US before it was here.
If you post a picture of it I will be able to tell for sure and I might could help you out with further details.
