I don't know what type of soils you have, but I demo'd a 3000 and there were times I couldn't pull it with my 8960. I had it set to around 4" where it seemed to prep a nice seedbed. I opted for the 2400 when I purchased it. There are some times it still makes that 8960 snort going 9 mph.
