| I believe it is classified as SME (Special Mobile Equipment) and is exempt from plates....However make sure you follow the DOT's rules as far as being over the 10000 GCWR and 26000 GCWR. To the best of my knowledge the DOT can still get the scales out have their way. May sure you have the proper endorsments on your drivers liscence and the proper registration weight on your towing vehicle. Call DOT helpline at 515-237-3247.
