If you want it to bale straw only in a very large windrow at 8+ mph, then buy it!! Anything else you are planning to bale, you probably won't be happy. As mentioned it doesn't have a pre-chamber/stuffer or whatever you want to call it so it doesn't get enough material in front of the plunger before it makes a stroke so it never fills the chamber to the top. Therefore you get nasty looking bales, the lighter the windrow the worse the bale. Baling haylage, or wet material to wrap is a real joke!!! We fought with one for two years when they first came out, Deere even replaced the first one because the chamber was actually out of square !! Got to know the Deere tech's real well though, they practically lived here trying to make that thing work, knotters actually blew apart once too!! Not alot of happy memories here as you can see !!!! Run Run Run !!! Can't beat a Heston Baler !!!
