They are really great spreaders. They work best if you don't load them clear full of pack bedding, if you have any. I would look at the hammers, worn hammers aren't the end of the world but they do cost money. The only problem I have ever had is the top auger flighting peeled back. They sell small sections so i just cut out the bent part and welded in the new. So all in all an excellent spreader by my book!
