North of London | No scientific explanation but I can usually find tile runs with 2 bent coat hangers.
Do not know why or how it works but most people seem able to have it work for them.
I do get 'false readings' in some ground which is maybe underground water????
Followed a water line across a field for a neighbour last year. He bought the farm after the line had been put in so we had only a rough idea of where they laid the line and put a line of flags in so they could locate it for tile. Had a jog in it which we thought suspicious.
He told me later they found the line within a foot or so of where I flagged it when the drainage crew checked with their backhoe.
Take a couple pieces of wire with 90 degree bend, hold loosely in your hand and try walking across where there might be a tile of water line. See if it works for you.
I was sceptical until 30 years ago when a person doing it to locate tile had me try and it worked.
Never tried to locate well water. All drilled wells around here and they just position close enough to buildings and start drilling. | |
